NXT Takeover Respect
WWE announced NXT Takeover Respect sold out in six minutes online, but the tickets actually sold out even quicker.
The fans in attendance at the tapings bought most of the tickets before the online sale, as lines begin to form during the TV tapings, sometimes as soon as the first match.
The TV tapings scheduled for the next night also sold out immediately.
NXT Talent Pay
It was reported last week that a meeting was held at the WWE Performance Center in regards to NXT talents’ pay structure possibly changing. The meeting reportedly resulted in the confirmation that talents will still get paid money from their developmental deals, without gate bonuses, despite being called WWE’s “third brand.”
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that some talent took the idea of being a third touring brand seriously and thought they would be paid more appropriately on larger shows, but this is not moving forward. The report said eventhough WWE is attempting to position NXT as a third brand for the public, it will still be contracted like developmental for the talent.
