Backstage News on Cal Bishop’s Reaction to His NXT Release on Breaking Ground, Was He Aware WWE Cameras Were Filming His Firing?

cal bishopWWE NXT star Cal Bishop was released from WWE during filming of the current Breaking Ground Network show, and according to WZ Daily regular Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet.com, Bishop had no idea his release was coming. The site added, however, that Bishop is not angry over how it all ended.

Sources close to Bishop tell ProWrestlingSheet the wrestler didn’t realize cameras were rolling when he met with Canyon Ceman in October to film what would be his release, even though he allowed producers to film his entire NXT experience when he signed on to do the show.

Bishop made his televised WWE NXT debut on March 13th, 2014 in a tag team match with Wesley Blake against The Ascension. On March 29th, Bishop and Travis Tyler teamed up in a victory against Baron Corbin and Slate Randall.

On October 9th, 2015 WWE released Cal Bishop from his contract.
