Even though The Rock is scheduled to be filming the new “Baywatch” movie in most of March and April next year, WWE is reported to still have some hope in him making some kind of appearance.
There was a reported insurance issue with a film he was scheduled for, that would have prevented coverage of any injuries he might have sustained if he worked another match. At this point, the rumored match seeing The Rock versus Triple H was scrapped, and they started to plan for Rollins versus HHH before Rollins went out due to injury. There was the idea that The Rock could do an interview segment instead of a match, but that was also said to be unlikely due to the shooting schedule for Baywatch.
According to the Observer, the last word was that production being held up for one day, even just for Wrestlemania, would be difficult to do. It was said to be a similar situation to that of Ronda Rousey not appearing at Mania either, although she is headed to Indonesia, while the Rock will be filming in Savannah, Georgia.
