Titus O’Neil

According to sources within WWE, Titus O’Neil’s 60-day suspension didn’t really have a reasonable explanation attached to it, and most likely happened just because Vince McMahon was so furious about the incident. It was also said that Vince’s reaction to the incident, seen on WWE Network, made him look bad, but Titus got the suspension and a $5,000 fine with the reported reason being that Vince and WWE wanted to look more professional and to prevent goofing off.
On a similar note, Titus’ friend and former WWE star turned actor Dave Bautista said on Twitter he told Titus to ask for his release.

The Observer noted that while this might sound like a good idea, given the backlash and public displeasure with the penalties against Titus, he doesn’t really have too many options and he’s better off in WWE. The same wouldn’t be said about everyone, but he is in a much better position in WWE where he couldn’t replicate his salary anywhere else.
