According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is ‘no doubt’ new WWE signee and former New Japan Pro Wrestling star Shinsuke Nakamura will headline live events on WWE’s upcoming tour of Japan.
WWE recently announced they will return to Japan for a set of dates at Ryogoku Kokugikan / Sumo Hall on July 1st and 2nd. Nakamura is expected to have a ‘lengthy’ run in NXT this year, and the Observer noted it’s assumed a number of WWE talents would line up to face him at these shows and put him over.
Matt Riddle
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting former UFC fighter / professional wrestler Matt Riddle met with Triple H recently, and is expected to join NXT ‘in some form’ in the near future. As of now, he’s not expected to be a part of the Global Cruiserweight Series due to him weighing more than 205 pounds.
