According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, class action lawsuits might be in the works regarding royalties and the WWE Network. The report adds numerous former WWE talents are aware of the suits and have expressed an interest in joining.
The argument reportedly concerns the WWE Network replacing DVD releases, which have in turn caused DVD revenues to drop. The wrestlers potentially filing the lawsuits feel they are entitled to Network revenue due to the DVD replacement.
We’ve previously noted how the families of Doug Somers and Eddie Gilbert have unsuccessfully attempted to secure royalties from material shown on WWE TV, but the new suits concern the WWE Network and not TV, making them a different situation.
