The Rock
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Rock has another new project lined up, as he will star in a new adaptation of Robert Ludlum’s The Janson Directive.
The Rock will star in the project for Universal Pictures, who will team with Mythology Entertainment, and Captivate Entertainment to create a film series based on Ludlum’s different books. The partnership deal will look to create more unity between the individual films, somewhat like a Ludlum cinematic universe, and Jansen will be the first in the series. The Rock commented on the project, saying:
“The Janson Directive is classic Robert Ludlum. Sharp, edgy and layered storylines. The character is complex, conflicted, bad ass and lethal — I can’t wait to sink my teeth into this and bring him to life. Between Jamie, Akiva, Captivate and Universal, it’s an exciting time to help produce and build out this awesome Ludlum universe.”
Earlier today, The Rock also announced his Seven Bucks Production company will partner with CNN for a new series called Soundtracks.
