After much anticipation, Seth Rollins made his grand return tonight at WWE Extreme Rules following a stellar main event match between Roman Reigns and AJ Styles, immediately laying his claim to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
On November 4, 2015 Rollins tore his ACL, MCL and medial meniscus in one of his knees during a WWE Live event in Dublin, Ireland. The injury would set him back six months, and force Rollins to vacate the world title he had carried for 220 days.
The self-proclaimed Architect’s first order of business is now clear: to win back what he never lost, a message delivered loud and clear with an emphatic Pedigree to champion Roman Reigns in the final moments of Extreme Rules.
