As noted, WWE Smackdown will be going live on July 19th and the WWE brand split will be returning, as WWE noted Raw and Smackdown will have their own rosters.
Variety.com has picked up on the announcement and confirmed both Raw and Smackdown will have their own storylines and writing teams. A WWE announcement made earlier today noted the shows will each have a “distinct cast, unique storylines and a dedicated writing team.”
Additionally, a roster draft will be taking place soon to determine the rosters for both Raw and Smackdown, and it will take place before the WWE brand split and Smackdown’s live debut on July 19th.
