Triple H conducted a live post-WWE NXT Takeover The End chat on Facebook and below is a recap of the chat, hosted by Cathy Kelley.
Triple H started off by joking that “The End” means NXT is over, but then explained what it means is the end of the epic feud between Samoa Joe and Finn Balor. He added that The End also signifies how far NXT has come, and what started out as a developmental system for WWE has become its own brand in the company. He said tonight marked the beginning of NXT completely focusing on becoming a complete brand in WWE moving forward.
Triple H then talked about Andrade “Cien” Almas’ debut tonight and called his win over Tye Dillinger “incredible”. He said he can’t believe anyone would have put Almas in a mask, referring to when Almas competed as La Sombra. He also made mention of Dillinger, and said when his switch flips in NXT it’s going to be special.
On the tag team title match, Triple H praised both teams, especially The Revival for becoming the first two-time tag champs in NXT. He said he didn’t know why Paul Ellering showed up after the match, but said that the arrival of “The Authors of Pain” has made things interesting.
On Nakamura vs Aries, Triple H called it a dream match and praised both superstars for their effort in the match. He said they proved why NXT is the place to be right now, and guys of that level are trying to get their foot in the door in NXT.
On Bobby Roode walking into William Regal’s office, Triple H said it’s another example of NXT being the place to be. He said if you want to make a name for yourself in this world, then you have to be in NXT, as it’s the hottest brand in pro wrestling right now.
On Nia Jax losing to Asuka tonight, Triple H said he doesn’t believe it’s a setback for her, as he has never seen anyone push Asuka like Jax did tonight. He added Jax put the entire NXT womens division on notice tonight, and the division is a very interesting landscape, especially when you know what he knows about who is coming into the division. He said the division is about to get real interesting real fast. Asuka now heads to Japan for the WWE live events, and representing NXT as the Womens Champion in her country is big.
On Samoa Joe, Triple H says Joe is NXT, and feels sorry for anyone who says otherwise. He teased Finn Balor might not be done hunting for the title yet, but also said Shinsuke Nakamura is breathing down Joe’s next. Triple H teased that battle is near.
In closing, Triple H hyped the NXT UK tour kicking off this coming week and he also said he is excited for NXT Takeover Brooklyn during SummerSlam weekend.
