Part two of Steve Austin’s interview with Bill Goldberg on “The Steve Austin Show” is now available via PodcastOne.com, and below are some interview quotes from Goldberg, with a H/T to WZ reader Jules Allen for the transcription:
On his current condition and health:
“I’m getting older and things are going to slow down, but I wouldn’t change anything for the world. If cardio’s the determining factor of my health, fitness level, f–k, I’m in the best shape of my life! If it’s predicated upon aches and pains, I’m 145 years old.”
On possibly moving to Canada following the upcoming Presidential election:
“Yes, I’m going to vote. Am I going to vote like I’m blindfolded or I’m throwing a dart at a dartboard? Man, I think I’m going to follow in Brock’s footsteps. I’m moving to Canada. My wife’s down here on me. I’m going up there on her. Man, we’re in a real sorry ass state. Man, we really are. I don’t know. The irresponsibility on one side and the corporate politician on the other and the lack of trust. At the end of the day, we’re at the lesser of two evils, but as a responsible American, who is voting for the leader of our country, are you kidding me? That’s our choice? I think we’re kind of in dire straights looking at the options, man. It’s a sad day. It really is. I mean, it sucks. It’s a sad day because the President of the United States is going to be chosen based upon personality, based upon outrageousness, based upon other factors like that as opposed to real policy.”

On never having a great heel run in pro wrestling:
“The heel run, I didn’t want to do it to begin with because of the kid thing. I did so much with Make-A-Wish. I did a lot of stuff, man, to where I knew it would crush these kids’ hearts. Ironically, the night that I turned heel, I had a Make-A-Wish girl who had cancer, okay? So what’s the night that I turned heel? What did I do? Do you remember? I wrestled Hacksaw…what did Hacksaw come back from? Thank you very much. So what affect do you think I had on that little girl when I came into that locker room? Whether it was a shoot or whether it was a work or whether I was getting paid millions of dollars, I still got a heart, a big heart. And f–k everybody who can’t see beyond the things that they read because I really don’t care about those people, but I am a really caring person and that tore me apart.”
