On Natalya’s match against Becky Lynch:

EF: It’s intriguing in the sense that there’s not a clear cut winner. It goes without saying someone is going to win. I would say Becky is way overdue for a big win. Way, way overdue for a big win on a PPV. That said, they just turned Nattie and they’re both going to be on Smackdown. Who knows? Maybe this could be the first of two or more that they are going to come back with and we are going to have an inconclusive finish here. Keep the heat on Smackdown and bring it back at Summerslam with some sort of a stip. Something dirty or inconclusive but something where Becky needs to be strong coming out of this and Nattie needs to be strong coming out of this. This is her first PPV match with her new attitude. We’ve got to put over that new attitude because if we don’t then she’s going to look like there was no point in turning her.

On Sasha Banks and her mystery partner vs Charlotte and Dana Brooke:

EF: I would love to see it be Bayley but then again bringing up Bayley would overshadow the other female call ups that they just had. Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss and Carmella. Even tho Bayley could go to RAW my money here is on Paige being the mystery partner. Just because that would put all of these women on the RAW product and they can follow up on this. You could have a Paige vs Dana Brooke program coming out of this. You can have Sasha v Charlotte going in to SummerSlam. You’ve got programming for RAW. Also the fact that Bayley tweeted out to Nia Jax about Nia Jax talking about getting called up to RAW and rubbing Bayley’s face in it. Bayley tweeted back something like, “You go up there. I’ll be down here winning the NXT Women’s Championship for the second time. Something you couldn’t do once.” Bayley seems to be doubling down, at least publicly, on the fact that she’s staying down there. That would make sense to me because they do need to keep NXT strong as a touring brand and you’ve got Bayley, Asuka, Joe and Nakamura

We will be rolling out more of Ed’s thoughts and predictions on Battleground throughout the weekend.
