Our WWE NXT results for tonight include Myles Borne defending the NXT North American Championship against Tavion Heights, Wren Sinclair defending the Women’s Speed Championship against Arianna Grace, Shiloh Hill clashing with Tristan Angels, Tatum Paxley challenging Zaria for the NXT Women’s North American Championship, Naraku challenging Tony D’Angelo for the NXT Championship, and Lola Vice defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Kendal Grey. Here’s our review and grades for tonight’s show, live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

WWE NXT The Great American Bash Results:
NXT Championship Match | Tony D’Angelo (c) vs. Naraku
D’Angelo has his left eye bandaged still after the Keith Lee Memorial contract fireball attack on NXT TV earlier this week. As the bell rings, D’Angelo attacks Naraku, sending him out of the ring. Naraku picks up a chair. D’Angelo spears Naraku through a wall! D’Angelo drags Naraku back to the ring. Naraku kicks the rope into D’Angelo’s face as he’s getting back in the ring. Naraku focuses his attack on D’Angelo’s eye. The referee tells D’Angelo he’s going to stop the match. D’Angelo yells at the referee not to stop anything. After a brief flurry, D’Angelo gets tripped on the apron, causing him to slam his face into the hardest part of the ring.
After the break, Naraku sends D’Angelo through the barricade! Naraku continues his assault. D’Angelo fires up and destroys Naraku with a lariat. German suplex by D’Angelo. Another German by D’Angelo. D’Angelo gets a nearfall after a pop-up powerslam. Naraku escapes Dead to Rights and lands another German suplex. D’Angelo pops up to his feet and lets out a battle cry before dropping Naraku with Dead to Rights for the win!
Winner and STILL NXT Champion, Tony D’Angelo!
Grade: B-
This one started hot! A one-eyed D’Angelo put the paws on Naraku, who had it coming after that fireball stuff. This writer expected Naraku to pull this one out (heh), but this was the right decision. D’Angelo is most likely going to have a long reign as champion.

NXT Women’s North American Championship Match | Zaria (c) vs. Tatum Paxley
Before the bell rings, Paxley headbutts Zaria. After a brief flurry, Paxley runs into a clothesline from Zaria. Tossing suplex by Zaria. Zaria works over Paxley. Paxley tries to fire up, but Zaria lands a pop-up headbutt. Paxley rolls out to the apron. Zaria follows, but gets tripped and ends up trapped in the apron skirt. Paxley unloads on Zaria. Zaria tosses Paxley into the crowd. Paxley rises from the ashes and locks Zaria in a sleeper. Zaria drags Paxley over the barricade and drops back, crushing Paxley on the concrete.
After the break, Zaria continues the beating. Paxley fires up and lands a crossbody where she sails almost halfway across the ring. Superplex by Paxley. Paxley tries to draw power from the crowd, but Zaria almost cuts her in half with a spear! Both women are down. A strike exchange ends with Paxley running into a knee from Zaria. Zaria tries to lock Paxley in a hanging choke on the top rope. Paxley fights out of it and knocks Zaria into a tree of woe. Paxley tries to go up top, but Zaria frees herself. Zaria and Paxley trade strikes.
The Finish
Paxley hits a nasty sunset flip bomb. Paxley grabs the championship. Zaria rips it out of Paxley’s hands. Paxley superkicks Zaria and hits Cemetery Drive out on the floor. Paxley hits another Cemetery Drive in the ring. Zaria kicks out. After a series of reversals, Zaria spears Paxley and hits an F5! Paxley kicks out! Paxley kicks out! Zaria is shocked. Zaria mounts Paxley and lays in a few stiff punches to the back of Paxley’s head. Paxley is out cold. Zaria delivers a wicked Curb Stomp! Zaria hits a second F5 for the win.
Winner and STILL NXT North American Champion, Zaria!
Grade: B+
This match was exceptional. Paxley and Zaria should both be arrested for attempted murder after this one. There were so many ridiculous bumps and razor-thin nearfalls. This match played like a blood feud, which it isn’t, but the intensity here added so much depth to what could have just been a throwaway title rematch.
Shiloh Hill vs. Tristan Angels
Angels tries a sneak attack, to no avail. Hill tosses Angels out. Hill reclaims the “Mr. NXT” sash. Angels takes over and works over Hill during the break. After the break, Angels gets pulled under the ring again. This time, there is a conveniently placed camera as Angel crawls around. There is a phone under there that, of course, Angels answers. The person on the phone says, “The fog is coming” repeatedly.
When the phone announces that the fog is here, someone in a mask appears behind Angels with a white mask on. The masked man puts Angels in a sleeper. Angels knocks the mask off, and it’s Hill. Angels escapes, but somehow Hill appears behind Angels and attacks him once again. After the break, Hill lands a spear through the ropes. Hill dives off the top into a code breaker from Angels. Hill hits Whisper of the Beast for the win.
Winner- Shiloh Hill
Grade: C+
Good match that was given a shocking amount of time. Both Hill and Angels may have something in the future. Angels doesn’t seem to win very often, which is an odd way to try to get over a new talent. Hill isn’t a vet by any means, but dropping one of these matches to Angels wouldn’t have hurt him at all.
