Randy Orton Written Off WWE Backlash

As reported earlier tonight, Randy Orton has not been cleared to compete due to an unconfirmed injury possibly related to concussion sustained at the hands of Brock Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam. Orton was officially written out of his match with Bray Wyatt at WWE Backlash following a scripted backstage attack from the “Eater of Worlds” himself.

After accepting a victory via forfeit, it was then announced that Wyatt would be in action, in a no holds barred match against Kane.

Jonny Fairplay Spotted Ringside at Tonight’s Show

Former reality television star Jonny Fairplay was spotted ringside for tonight’s WWE Backlash pay-per-view. Fairplay was made infamous by his 2003 stunt on Survivor: Pearl Island, when he orchestrated a lie about his own grandmother dying, in attempt to garner sympathy and win the show. He is a lifelong pro wrestling fan, working as a personal assistant for the late Roddy Piper, making appearances for TNA over a decade ago, and has worked for various wrestling promotions on the independent scene.
