As noted, John Cena appeared at the Salt Lake City Comic Con, and during the appearance Cena addressed taking his wristbands off at WWE SummerSlam.
Cena said the removal of the wristbands had a lot of personal significance to him, but we will have to wait to see what it means in the coming weeks, which means his return to WWE TV could be soon.
In related news, after missing last night’s WWE Backlash PPV, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that John Cena is scheduled for the October 9th WWE No Mercy PPV. Current plans call for him to face AJ Styles in another match, but it remains to be seen when and how that will happen with Styles winning the WWE Title last night.
