Following TJ Perkins’ WWE Cruiserweight Classic tournament win last night, WWN Live released the following full-length match video featuring Perkins’ final EVOLVE match last weekend at EVOLVE 69 against Matt Riddle. 

Perkins won the Cruiserweight Classic and became the first ever WWE Cruiserweight Champion, introduced last night. 

Three days before TJ Perkins won the WWE Cruiserweight Classic and became the first contemporary WWE Cruiserweight Champion, he had his last match in a WWN ring as he faced Matt Riddle at EVOLVE 69. According to PWInsider.com, there have been discussions about WWE possibly holding a women’s wrestling tournament in a format similar to the WWE Cruiserweight Classic. 

The tournament would reportedly take place sometime in early 2017 but no concrete plans were made; this follows another report by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter saying there have also been talks about WWE also bringing back the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament.
