WWE Ref John Cone On Why He Called Off Sheamus & Cesaro (Video), How WWE Saved The Trump Foundation

WWE Ref John Cone On Why He Called Off Sheamus & Cesaro

WWE has released the above video to their official YouTube featuring referee John Cone explaining why he called off the match between Sheamus and Cesaro at Clash Of Champions.

How WWE Saved The Trump Foundation

In 2007 Donald Trump was involved in the infamous Hair v Hair match at WrestleMania 23 pitting Trump and Vince McMahon against each other via surrogates. According to The Washington Post that year WWE donated $4 million to the Donald J. Trump Foundation. It was the biggest donation to the charity that year and if it weren’t for WWE’s donation the DJT Foundation would have ended 2007 in the red. It instead finished 2007 with $3.2 million in the bank and without that influx in cash it would not have been able to make the contributions it made from 2007 to 2012.

The Washington Post also notes that Trump himself never donated to his own Foundation after making a few small donations in 2007 and 2008. They are reporting that Trump would use money from the Foundation to settle legal issues and purchase items for himself including a six foot tall portrait of himself for $20,000 and a football helmet signed by Tim Tebow for $12,000. WWE was also responsible for a $1 million donation to the Foundation in 2009. That was the same year that Trump was involved in the angle to buy and then sell back RAW to Vince McMahon.
