On whether or not there was ever talk of Eric becoming a member of WWE’s creative team:

EB: None whatsoever. The initial conversation I had with Vince McMahon was all about me coming in as a talent. Once I got there I just did my job. I didn’t really want to become a part of WWE creative. I don’t think they were interested in me becoming a part of WWE creative. Doesn’t mean I didn’t have an idea or two or a comment or participate. I went to a couple of production meetings and sat in and was happy to give advice or a comment if anyone asked for one. I was asked to make notes on the show for awhile and send them in, which I was happy to do, but that was the extent of it. Nobody expected me to be a part of WWE. Certainly not me. From a creative point of view.
