As we noted earlier today, WWE star Paige has been suspended 60 days by WWE following her second Wellness Policy violation. Paige’s parents spoke out on social media about the suspension, with Paige’s father claiming she has been taking doctor prescribed painkillers for an ongoing neck injury.
Former WWE star and real life boyfriend of Paige, Alberto Del Rio, is the latest to address the suspended WWE star’s situation as he recently spoke with ESPN. Del Rio, who is now using the name Alberto El Presidente, had the following to say on WWE suspending Paige for a second time, which he believes is unfair treatment by WWE:
“It’s just like she said in her statement this afternoon. It’s just the same s**t, different day my friend.”
Del Rio also addressed rumors that WWE tried to break him and Paige up, as he had the following to say:
“To be honest, I don’t care what they say or what they try to do. We are together and we are happy. I know a lot of people are not happy but regardless of whatever people say, we can be happy. We can be together. And we are going to stay together because we are happy. If someone is not comfortable or happy about it, we just don’t care. We are going to continue our life. Our families are happy and we’re happy. That’s all that matters.”
