WWE Smackdown Results (5/9): Huge 6-Man Tag Team Match, Nakamura Arrives in London, Lynch vs Natalya

Charlotte was backstage yelling at Naomi, saying that she’s the reason Becky Lynch lost. Naomi told her to get out of her face or she’d “snatch her bald”, and Charlotte snapped back “or what, you’ll glow on me?” Good banter. Becky Lynch came to the rescue and got in between them. She said they’re playing into the Welcome Committee’s game, and the only way to beat them is to create a bond even closer. Naomi agreed to work together, and Charlotte reluctantly agreed, saying “whatever, I’m the best at bonding”.

Pre-Record Segment: Fashion Files

Fandango and Tyler Breeze are back for a special “London Unit” edition of the Fashion Files. Fandango was dressed up as Sherlock Holms, and Breeze was the inspector. They started investigating some random paint on the ground, which Fandango tasted and said is lead-based. They made some jokes about “The Ugos” while following “clues” around the backstage area (literally hand prints painted on the wall) until they came to a room where people were yelling and screaming, and appeared to be in danger. They tried to break the door down, then just turned the handle and it opened, revealing… The Ascension. They were just standing there, hyping each other up in a dark broom closet, screaming at the top of their lungs. Breeze mocked the old Lethal Weapon line, and said “I’m getting too old for this shirt”…because they’re Fashion Police.

ERIC ROWAN vs. LUKE HARPER

Harper took control early on and even hit a big suicide dive to the floor. Rowan threw him into the barricade and rolled Harper back into the ring, slowing things down with a side headlock. Harper eventually escaped the rest hold with a back suplex and connected with a big boot for two. He tried for a discus clothesline, but had to settle for a Black Hole Slam for another near fall. He set up for the clothesline again, but Rowan caught him with an elbow and one-arm chokeslam. Rowan grabbed his mask and threatened to blast his opponent with it, but the referee took it away; he took advantage of the distraction to throw his fingers in Harper’s eyes, and put him away with a spinning powerslam. The crowd was almost completely dead for this, and didn’t even react to the cheap shot to the eyes. Winner: Eric Rowan
