At NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III, former Ring of Honor talent Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Bobby Fish made a buzzing impression, as Fish and O’Reilly reunited as a tag team to attack both Sanity and the Authors of Pain, as well as distract new champion Drew McIntyre for an Adam Cole debut. This commences two major feuds in the NXT Championship and NXT Tag Team Championship picture for the foreseeable future.

Interestingly, Cole’s debut was also used to shift the focus off of the former champion, Bobby Roode. According to Dave Meltzer via the Live Audio Wrestling post-SummerSlam podcast, this move was intentional, due to Roode expected to debut on the main roster soon.

As far as what show he will debut on, the speculation is that he will be on the SmackDown Live roster. This is expected to be done in order to add more depth to the top-level heels for this brand, since Jinder Mahal is not working as successfully as planned, and the Baron Corbin project appears to no longer be a major priority.

There is another Superstar Shake-up planned in the coming weeks, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, so Roode may be a part of that when it occurs.
