R&B duo duo Chloe x Halle will perform ‘America the Beautiful’ at this year’s Wrestlemania in New Orleans on April 8th.
The Los Angeles based singers spoke to WWE.COM today about the news, expressing excitement for the festivities in NOLA.
“It is an honor for us to perform ‘America the Beautiful’ in New Orleans at WrestleMania,” said Chloe x Halle. “We feel privileged to participate in such a meaningful way at one of the biggest sports and entertainment events in the world.”
This puts the young duo in same class as music luminaries like Willie Nelson, Arethra Franklin, and Boyz II Men who previously performed the patriotic anthem to open WWE’s biggest show of the year. They are signed to pop megastar Byeonce’s Parkwood Entertainment and will release their debut album, ‘The Kids Are Alright’ on March 23rd.
