Sami Callihan was a recent guest on Busted Open Radio with Dave LaGreca and Bully Ray to address his baseball bat incident with Eddie Edwards on last week’s Impact Wrestling. You can read a few highlights (transcribed by Bill Pritchard for Wrestlezone.com) and listen to an extended clip below:
Sami Callihan addresses comments that he’s a ‘dangerous’ wrestler:
That’s for me to know and Eddie to know, it’s no one else’s business. Here’s what bothers me: “this is professional wrestling, is it real or is it fake?” Someone needs to tell me because I don’t really know at this point. Right now I’m being called ‘The Most Dangerous Man In Professional Wrestling.’ You know what, sure, go ahead and call me that, because at the end of the day I know I’m one of the baddest MF’ers walking this planet today. I do not give a damn anymore. I’m at that point in my career where if you want to call me unsafe, call me unsafe. The fans want to call me unsafe, the boys in the back want to have insults about my work… you can look at my schedule and see that I’m the most booked person on the planet. You can come find me and talk to me face to face because that’s how I deal with stuff, like a man.
Would he do this again if given the chance?
Absolutely! Why wouldn’t I do this again? Boo-hoo, I hurt Eddie Edwards with a prop. Shit happens, this is pro wrestling. This is the most Impact has been talked about in months. And people want to say ‘we’re going to turn it off, we’re not going to watch’? Well obviously you’re just blowing steam up your own asses because everyone is going keep watching, everyone is going to tune in next week to see what happens next.
"If I have to apologize to the fans, I'm not coming and working for your company anymore. Sh*t happens." @TheSamiCallihan says he doesn't feel bad about what happened to @TheEddieEdwards on #IMPACTonPop @IMPACTWRESTLING
