Roode goes behind Orton. Orton reverses into a waist lock. Roode counters into a top wrist lock. Orton takes Roode over with a drop toe hold into a front face lock. Roode rolls out of it. Orton floors Roode with a shoulder block. Roode responds with a shoulder block of his own. Roode blast Orton with another shoulder block. Roode does the glorious taunt. Roode hits the ropes and runs into a back elbow by Orton. Orton almost hits the RKO. Roode rolls out of the ring. Roode almost hits the Glorious DDT. Orton rolls out of the ring to collect himself. Orton suplexes Roode onto the top rope. Orton gets a near fall. Orton stomps Roode. Orton sends Roode into the corner. Roode bounces out of the corner and clotheslines Orton. Roode lands a knee drop for another near fall. Roode puts Orton in a rear chin lock. Orton struggles to his feet. Roode tries to suplex Orton but Orton knees Roode in his injured ribs. Orton lands a suplex of his own. Orton unloads with a few straight rights. Roode fires back and lands a stiff elbow. Neck breaker by Roode. Roode goes up top. Roode catches Orton with a clothesline off the top. Roode calls for the Glorious DDT. Orton reverses it into a roll up. Roode kicks out.
Orton sticks Roode with a snapping power slam. Roode rolls out to the apron. Roode tries his hangman’s DDT. Roode counters. Roode manages to hit the blockbuster for a near fall. After a miscue on Roode’s part, Orton finally lands the hangman’s DDT. Orton calls for the RKO but Roode avoids it. Roode tries the Glorious DDT but Orton turns it into a roll up. Roode kicks out and clotheslines Orton over the top rope. Orton sends Roode into the barricade. Orton suplexes Roode onto the barricade. Orton sends Roode back in the ring but only get another long two count. Orton tries a superplex. Roode fights Orton off. Walking sunset flip powerbomb by Roode! Orton kicks out at 2.9! Orton crotches Roode on the top rope. Huge superplex by Orton. Orton can’t keep Roode down. Roode and Orton are both slow to get to their feet. Roode and Orton exchange blows. After another finisher attempt exchange Roode destroys Orton with a sick spine buster. The Viper manages to kick out. Roode’s frustration is written all over his face. Roode dives off the top right into an RKO. It’s over.
Winner and NEW United States Champion, Randy Orton!
After the match, Jinder Mahal marches to ringside. Mahal attacks Orton. Roode grabs Mahal and Glorious DDTs him. Roode picks up Orton and Glorious DDTs him as well.
