Braun Strowman is the first man to enter the Money In The Bank ladder match, earning his spot after beating Kevin Owens on RAW.
Kurt Angle booked the qualifying match after Owens cut him off and said he deserved to be in a ladder match, calling himself the MVP of RAW. Owens continued to talk about getting screwed over at Backlash, but Angle said he couldn’t just put him in the ladder match. Owens threatened to go to Stephanie McMahon, and Angle said Owens is in… if he beats Braun right now.
The two actually had a pretty competitive match, but Braun won after destroying Owens with a shoulder tackle on the floor, and followed with a powerslam.
A second qualifying match is set to take place for the men’s match on RAW tonight featuring Finn Balor versus Sami Zayn versus Roman Reigns in a triple threat match. Kurt Angle confirmed an earlier report that there will be two MITB matches; one will feature the RAW and Smackdown men, and the other is a co-branded women’s match. The Miz has also announced he will compete in a qualifying match on Smackdown tomorrow night.
