WWE Profiles United Kingdom Tourney Entrants

WWE posted new profiles for the first eight competitors confirmed for the United Kingdom Championship tournament. Check out a few highlights below; the tournament kicks off

Joe Coffey

Height:
 5’11”

Weight: 240 lbs.

From: Glasgow, Scotland

Signature Move: Discus lariat

Twitter: @Joe_Coffey

A man who refuses to give up until the bell tolls in his favor, Joe Coffey brings two key elements to any match he is in — an unyielding resolve and really, really hard hits. A former training partner of Finn Bálor, The Iron King relies on brute force with cunning technique. Coffey is a two-time heavyweight champion of Scotland-based Insane Championship Wrestling, and he holds the distinction of being the first Scottish wrestler to compete in Tokyo’s hallowed Korakuen Hall. From past clashes with WWE and NXT Superstars like Drew McIntyre and Kassius Ohno, to a match against WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle in March 2016, Coffey boasts plenty of big-match experience — experience he looks to transform into success in the WWE U.K. Championship Tournament.

Joseph Conners

Height: 6’1”

Weight: 190 lbs.

From: Nottingham, England

Signature Move: Don’t Look Down

Twitter: @JosephConners

If success in the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament means putting his body on the line, Joseph Conners is willing to risk it all. Anyone who faces Conners must be willing to risk likewise against the hard-hitting British competitor. Crediting wrestling with making him a “changed man” both psychologically and physically, Conners understands the demands of competing at the highest level. He earned a new outlook and respect for his chosen profession after losing the top part of his left ear. Will other WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament participants have the same passion and intensity to match Conners? He’ll be glad to put all of them to the test.

Kenny Williams

Height:
 5’9”

Weight: 180 lbs.

From: Glasgow, Scotland

Signature Move: Satellite DDT

Twitter:@KennyWilliamsUK

If “Back to the Future” was set in Scotland, Kenny Williams says he would be Marty McFly — a bit cheeky, but also banking on both his abilities and a touch of luck to get him through whatever is put in front of him. (His affection for “Back to the Future” also helps explain the Scotsman’s hometown billing.) Trained by 205 Live Superstar Noam Dar, Williams sports an “act first, think later” attitude inside the squared circle, making him an exciting competitor to watch. Rarely the biggest dog in the fight, he uses his speed and agility to push the pace against his often-larger opponents. A flashy showman, Williams knows that he is often viewed as an underdog, but as a hardened six-year veteran with the guts to take on anybody, he’d have it no other way.
