Big Show says he was originally scheduled to compete at last month’s Greatest Royal Rumble, but a leg injury prevented him from appearing in the match.
Big Show was a recent guest on the Steve Austin Show (h/t to Pro Wrestling Sheet) and said he had a setback with his recent hip surgery that led to a 3.5 centimeter hole in his leg. He said four days later he felt good enough to make the trip to Saudi Arabia, but he was advised by Triple H to stay home.
It was also noted that Show confirmed he has signed a new three-year deal with WWE that will see him in a more limited role and he will be a Brand Ambassador. He said there was a brief period of time that he didn’t have a contract in January after the Royal Rumble, but Triple H ultimately made him an offer he couldn’t say no to.
