The Rock Sets A New Record

Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson has set yet another record, one of many in his illustrious career.

According to Forbes, Johnson was the fifth highest paid celebrity of the year; but, made $124 million from June 2017 to June 2018. The amount is significant because it is the most an actor has ever made during any one year period in history.

Setting records isn’t anything new for The Rock. Back in 2002 he was paid $5.5 million for his role in Scorpion King. This earned him a spot in the Guiness Book of World Records for the highest salary ever paid for a first time leading man.

According to CNET, Johnson’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Rampage have grossed more than $1.3 billion globally.
