Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “Who The Hell Do I Cheer For?”

The Night of Stables

wwe rawRaw starts off with a bang, as 4 teams of 4 come out to confront each other. It starts with The League of Nations, but they are interrupted by The Wyatt Family. Shortly after, Team Extreme come out and introduces Rhyno to the team. Alas, Roman Reigns, The Uso’s and Dean Ambrose make their way to the ring. We have a Fatal Four Way Elimination Match to kick off the show.

First eliminated are The Wyatt Family when Erick Rowan takes the pin. Second up, Team Extreme get eliminated thanks to Sheamus and a Brogue Kick to Bubba Dudley. As the final 8 men scramble in the ring, Dean and The Uso’s fly to the outside leaving Sheamus and Reigns. Sheamus tries a Brogue Kick but gets caught with a Spear and Roman just pinned the champion. Later in the night, actually ending the show, these men face off again. They talk about their championship match and it ends in a brawl.

Let’s dissect this by group of guys. Rhyno joins Team Extreme and will fight against The Wyatt Family on Sunday. Do I think there needed to be a bigger name, someone like RVD? Absolutely. I still think this is a HUGE step down for Bray Wyatt, but luckily this could be a one off situation and they head to 2016 with a new direction. They need something bigger than beating 4 guys with a combined age of 171.

It is obvious that Dudley Boyz will be involved in WrestleMania in potentially some sort of send-off. What will it be? That is a great question. We still are unaware of what WWE plans to do with Bray Wyatt, but this is nothing new. The silver lining is that Bray Wyatt will be featured on the big stage. He goes from John Cena to The Undertaker to…?

The League of Nations should have won this match, especially with how Raw ended. What is the point for these three guys to become one if you lose on a weekly basis. The old argument of “everyone is .500” rings true here. WWE is afraid to have them win for the fear that fans will think Roman Reigns will be less likely believed to win on Sunday. That is old age thinking, plain and simple.

Lastly, I do not WANT Roman and his cousins to form some group for the long-term. There is not really a need for it. It seems a little desperate right now just to fit in with everyone else combining forces. Let Roman do his own thing. Nothing will ever compare to The Shield. The beginning 40 minutes was entertaining, just a little illogical. Do we cheer for Bray Wyatt? Sure seemed like it. Or, do we want Team Extreme?
