Isenberg Reacts: Impact Wrestling “We Knew It Would Be Like This”

Bobby Lashley Advances

impact wrestling Bobby Lashley defeated Shera in a pretty competitive bout. One of the big storylines of the match is that you can obviously tell TNA wants Shera to be a big part of their future and into India. He has a good connection with the crowd and is very young so they can mold him. They did as much as they could making him look strong in a losing effort. He hit a nice body drop onto Lashley on the outside, but got hit with an elbow. Lashley ducks and hits a Spear for the win.

What you see in this match is the veteran (which is the right call) getting the win over the young guy who is deemed “this close” to breaking through. Like I mentioned, he will have big plans in 2016 for this company but I do think the time is now for Lashley to advance. He remains a top contender and should always be in consideration for a main event spot, title or not.

Eric Young Advances

The most polished and believable heel advances to the semi-finals of the World Title Series with a victory over Tigre Uno. Call me crazy, but this was the most predictable outcome of the night. With that being said, EY and Tigre Uno put on a very athletic and fun match. You got some reminder from Young in his earlier days leading Canada as a heel in the ring. His ego and tactics are really strong tonight and his timing with Tigre was constant.

For as much as people complain about Uno botching moves, he is still a very solid and electric performer. I feel like his botching is over exaggerated because they happen at poor times in the match. Also, it is very difficult to cover up such high-risk moves if they fail.

Aside from working with WrestleZone, Isenberg began his career in Broadcast Journalism interning at ESPN and worked with CBS Radio for three years. He has also had the opportunity to interview some of the best athletes and performers alive, including Andrew McCutchen, Ben Roethlisberger, Chris Jericho, Billy Gunn, Karl Anderson, Matt Hardy, Steven Strasburg and others.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
