Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “A New Champion, A Familiar Beast”

Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus

wwe rawSheamus starts the match in complete control after blindsiding him. Chops to the chest and sledgehammer hits with his massive arms give the Celtic Warrior plenty of offense. Ambrose is able to finally reverse an attempted Brogue Kick and Sheamus heads to the outside towards a commercial break. When they come back, Dean Ambrose gets caught into an Irish Curse backbreakers and a two count.

Dean reverses a White Noise into a rollup and nearly gets the former champion. Sheamus stops Dirty Deeds and hits White Noise for two. Both men fall to the outside and Ambrose rams his head into the steel post. He busts open Sheamus and both men are counted out. This gives us a double count-out and Kevin Owens attacks. He lays out Dean Ambrose.

Great match and a great ending adding Kevin Owens. He needs to continue to become this street fighting type of character. He should not be doing submission moves and technicality until he NEEDS to. Right now, focus on stripping his character down to the simplicities. Brock Lesnar is such a simple character. So can Kevin Owens. Continue the assaults and let him speak for himself before proving he can be aggressive and intense at the drop of a hat. Good stuff all around from these three guys.

Titus O’Neil defeated Stardust

For the second consecutive week, Titus picks up a pretty easy win over his “rival.” Again, I like both men but am not sure why I am supposed to be invested in this feud. What is the point if Stardust does not put up a legit fight? He continues to lose and Titus makes quick work of him each time. So? The point is what then?
