Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW and Smackdown Need Back on Track…Fast

This week’s Isenberg Reacts are going to be altered due to cable and internet issues throughout the week. Luckily, I was not able to watch anything aside from the highlights from RAW and Smackdown Live on the YouTube channel. Going through the segments and highlights showed me that this was a good week to miss the live shows.

WWE RAW seemed to start out strong, spotlighting the new champion and the upcoming opponents. I do think it is going to be too soon to see Seth Rollins lose again in a championship match, but a Triple Threat of Fatal Four Way can preserve him in this feud. Either way, if WWE is really set on Kevin Owens as champion, he needs to win clean at Clash of the Champions. I want to see Kevin Owens hold the title and really build someone to take it off of him in no less than 3-4 months. Should it be Seth Rollins or should WWE hold out until Finn Balor comes back? After hour one, it seemed to all be a pile of garbage. (Some of it, but enough)

Tag Team Confusion in WWE

RAW has Anderson and Gallows competing with The New Day, while Enzo and Cass lost to The Shining Stars. Seriously? Yes, seriously. WWE’s hottest tag team LOST to a team with absolutely no interest or intrigue. The Shining Stars are a terrible gimmick and should not even be on RAW. Anderson and Gallows need to stop with the comedic relief. I find it funny at times, but they are making these bad ass guys into what The New Day is without the catchy phrases. Why would you not let them be the tough, hard hitting and intense tag team that MADE THEM SUCCESSFUL?

Smackdown is a mess right now. Heath Slater and Rhyno are great together, but are they really guys that should be the first tag team champions? Maybe it will surprise me when they actually hold the titles, but American Alpha is where those straps should be. The Uso’s turning heel was good and overdue. They need to strip them of the bright colors and fun music that they come out to. I can see them reinventing themselves, but to what cost? Let’s just hope that injuring Chad Gable is NOT a sign of things to come for their luck.

The Hype Bros are going to get booed. Wait for it. I like both guys, but they are too over the top and are going to be turned on. Maybe a Ryder heel turn could be good? Or, WWE will continue to push them down our throats.
