Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown Live “Should The Wyatt Family Add Another Member?”

The feud goes on. Dolph Ziggler and The Miz started off Smackdown just like they should, with Ziggler bragging about how he is the new Intercontinental Champion and how The Miz will do whatever it takes to get it back. This prompted The Miz to bring out the Spirit Squad to fight Ziggler in a Handicap Match.

The match was average at best, but Dolph was able to show the passion and desire that makes him so valuable on Smackdown and on any show. He would end up defeating his two former partners, get attacked by The Miz and have his celebration cut short. You need to keep this going for another month or so. I would love to see a 2/3 Falls Match or something different from these two guys at Survivor Series. Yes, it is over a month away, but how great would it be if WWE would make this personal, talking about their prior friendship and talking about the difference in lifestyles between the two? Show the Hollywood life of The Miz outside of the ring and show Dolph’s simple life in Ohio or Florida. I want them to capitalize on the Ziggler win by creating an excellent storyline. With these two guys, they can go far. There is still so much that could be discussed and add the most fuel to the fire. A good night for both men coming off of a dramatic No Mercy championship match.

Naomi defeated Carmella

Women’s action took center stage on Smackdown Live with Naomi and Carmella. Carmella attacked her early and often, only to get kicked multiple times and then Naomi taking advantage. A neckbreaker and then Naomi getting the crowd pumped up. Naomi hits a crossbody for a two count, with Carmella coming back by pulling her hair and dropping her to the mat. Nikki Bella makes her way to the ring, as she was attacked earlier by Carmella. Carmella is distracted, which allows Naomi to roll her up for the win.

Another one up from Nikki over Carmella, where the feud is beginning to even out. I want to see Carmella get a big win, but that is not happening anytime soon. She will continue to cheat and attack from behind, which is not the worst possible thing. This is a big opportunity for Smackdown Live and their roster of Women to stand out when Becky Lynch is sidelined. Who will step up? It seems like WWE would love Naomi to take that role, with two straight wins over the rookie women. Her athleticism and new gimmick is refreshing, but will it last? She has so much talent in the ring. I hope it lasts.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
