Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Aborting The Beast and The Power of Jericho”

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman

The Beast Incarnate returned to WWE RAW and Paul Heyman addressed the hometown of the former world champion. We had some split chants of Goldberg and Suplex City, but it turned all around on Goldberg and the crowd full got behind Brock Lesnar. In a very strange way, Paul Heyman tried to get people to cheer for Goldberg and even turned on them for a brief minute, but a laugh from Lesnar after a “Goldberg Sucks” chant ended the segment abruptly.

Not even the great Paul Heyman could turn a HOMETOWN CROWD against Brock Lesnar. What in the hell happened here? Who in the world thought it would be a good idea to have Brock Lesnar return in Minnesota and think that they will make him the heel? What this automatically does is make this match on the side of Lesnar and many people will cheer for him. In this crazy world of sports entertainment, the fans (for better or worse) can control some of the creative booking. If I was WWE, have Brock Lesnar return to Hartford, Connecticut after WWE Hell in a Cell if you really want him to be the heel. Either way, tonight was a disaster. I love seeing Brock Lesnar and his value is through the roof, but this abrupt ending was NOT a good idea.

Enzo Amore defeated Karl Anderson

A quick, yet solid singles match between Anderson and Amore. Enzo was on the defensive for most of the match, with KA controlling the pace and the physicality. Karl Anderson trips Amore in the corner and Gallows tries to interfere. It backfires, as Big Cass hits a big boot to Anderson and Amore picks up the win.

As you know, these teams will face each other on Sunday in a tag team match. I do like the heat that Anderson and Gallows got before the match, interrupting Enzo and Cass. I thought creative did a good job at coming up with the idea of having the crowd become the microphone and showing how over these guys continue to be. It was unique and different from the ordinary weekly promo.

He has also had the opportunity to interview some of the best athletes and performers alive, including Andrew McCutchen, Ben Roethlisberger, Chris Jericho, Billy Gunn, Karl Anderson, Matt Hardy, Steven Strasburg and others.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
