Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown Live “Is It Finally Time For The Wyatt Family?

Smackdown Live kicked off with a contract signing between Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss. Going back and forth, both women began to make fun of each others’ appearances, voices and talent. It would boil over to Becky punching Alexa in the face and hitting a BexPlex. After that, She put her up on the top rope and wanted to put her through a table. Alexa countered and pushed the champion off and through a table. The heel stands tall.

I thought it was a solid segment to kick off Smackdown Live. Becky and Alexa are polar opposites and it is working. I think Alexa has a chance to win at WWE TLC, especially because it is a Tables Match. Alexa can certainly win the championship and Lynch would not even have to be pinned. We have seen many tables matches where an “oops, I won” ending occurs. Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes and Sheamus vs. John Cena come to mind. When you see both of these women, Becky is the perfect face champion while Alexa is a solid heel challenger. With the title switching hands so many times between Charlotte and Sasha, nothing is impossible on the blue brand. It makes the match more intriguing seeing how Alexa has continuously gotten the upper hand.

Kalisto and Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin and The Miz

One of those classic Teddy Long tag team matches took place on Smackdown, with the ending being a disqualification. When you look at these two feuds heading into WWE TLC, you wonder what happens to ALL of them next. Dolph Ziggler and The Miz have had the most successful run on Smackdown Live since the draft. They continuously put on great matches and intricate details in their feud. The last match will be at WWE TLC and will be for the best. There is nothing else for them to do, but who is next for both men?

Kalisto and Baron Corbin is something I have little interest in. Kalistro tries to get extreme with a chair, but Corbin is just that much stronger and marketable. I was never a huge fan of this pairing and hope that something drastic happens to Corbin. Wouldn’t be look much better with that red intro on Monday nights?

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
