Exclusive: WWE Scrapped Plans For Rock & Austin Tonight

WrestleZone has learned exclusively that one of the things WWE Chairman Vince McMahon wanted to do on Monday Night Raw tonight with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson’s birthday party was to "have a moment" (in the words of a key insider) between The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

"Vince thought it would be great to have The Rock and Stone Cold out in the ring together at the same time, or even if they happened to bump into each other in the locker room during the show," the key WWE insider told us, "but Austin was at the USA Network Up-Front event tonight at Lincoln Center in New York City, and Vince knows how important the up-fronts are for USA, so the conversation ended right there (when it was discussed last week)."

We heard Austin was at the USA Up-Front event, and was introduced as the host of "USA Network’s WWE Tough Enough."
