Report: WWE Reacts Swiftly to the Poor Raw Rating This Week

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that there was an "immediate reaction" within WWE to the dramatically low 2.8 cable rating that Raw drew this week. Furthermore, it’s being said that the company fears that next week’s rating won’t be much better as the show is both pre-taped and it’s going head-to-head against a big Monday Night Football game with The Packers taking on The Bears. WWE is aggressively promoting the Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho main event for Raw next week in hopes that it will help draw viewers. On a side note, some people in WWE are fearing that it may not have been the right decision to put the belt on Orton so soon, but on the other hand it’s being said that he can’t be blamed for the bad rating having only held the title for one night prior to Raw.
