The update on former WWE and TNA main eventer Bobby Lashley is that he is still with the Strikeforce promotion, and is back home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Lashley, who received a nasty cut next to his left eye Saturday night during his Strikeforce fight with Chad Griggs, was hospitalized for dehydration immediately following the fight, which he lost when the referee put a stop to the bout at the very end of the second round.
Lashley was then the subject of wild rumors as his ex-wife (and former WWE Diva) Kristal Marshall posted a hysterical tweet on Twitter asking fans to pray for Bobby.
WrestleZone has learned some of Lashley’s blood work came back at the hospital with reasons for the doctors to become concerned. Further tests were done, and Lashley was released from the hospital before morning.
No word yet on what the concern over the blood work was about, but WrestleZone has spoken with two members of the American Top Team training camp, and Lashley is expected back, with no one questioning if he was going to quit MMA after this bad setback.
Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.
