Kurt Angle Returns To Japan To Challenge For IWGP Title & More

TNA Star Kurt Angle returns to New Japan Wrestling on April 5 to face current IWGP champion Hiroshi Tanahashi.  Prior to winning the title Tanahashi was featured for several weeks on TNA iMPACT. 

Kurt Angle is a former IGWP Champion, having held a version of the Title he won from Brock Lesner that was merge with the current version when Angle was defeated by Shinsuke Nakamura in Feb 2008.  Keiji Mutoh defeated Nakamura in April 2008, and Tanahashi defeated  Keiji Mutoh for the title on Jan 4, 2009.

New Japan Tag Team NO LIMITS ( Yujiro and Tetsuya Naito) have been in the US recently appearing on TNA House Shows and television.   The current IWGP Jr Heavyweight Tag Champions are TNA's MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS.  One of these two teams will return to Japan to defend the Jr. Heavyweight Tag Titles on April 5.   TNA has TV tapings & house shows before then so  it is lkely the Machine Guns will drop the titles to No Limit prior to their return to Japan.
