WWE Smackdown Results (8/30) – “Super” Smackdown, Christian/Orton WHC Cage Match

Bill Pritchard

John Cena comes out and says they don't have to adjust their televisions because he is there on a Tuesday, and he is ready for Super Smackdown. He says everyone from RAW and Smackdown is there, and even says a few jokes about having other defunct wrestling territories there. Cena says now he is here to talk about who will get hurt, and the one name he has in mind is Alberto Del Rio, and he tells him to come out and recieve a beat down. Ricardo Rodriguez comes out instead and he tells Cena that he has a message for him, and he will have to wait for Alberto until Night of Champions. Ricardo says he has not earned the honor of being in the ring with the champion, then yells his name over and over until Cena tells him to shut up.

Cena says he heard enough, and he has a gift for Ricardo to give to Alberto, and punches him in the face to knock him out of the ring. Wade Barrett comes out and mocks Cena for beating up a ring announcer, then says Cena learned nothing after the lessons that Wade tried teaching him last year. He says Smackdown is his territory, and he tells Cena he will make him feel pathetic when he is done with him tonight. Cena says it is the fans' show and they are having a good time, and Wade calls him pathetic. Cena says Wade has a talented and bright future, but Cena did not forget about last year so he owes him some payback, and tonight Wade finds out that it's a bitch.

John Cena vs Wade Barrett

Cena punches Wade then whips him out of the corner and hits a bulldog, then they face off and lock up again. Cena gets him in a side headlock but Wade punches him in the ribs and kicks him, Cena knocks him down with a right and hits a corner splash. He powerslams Wade then waits for him to get back up and throws him off the ropes but Wade catches him and hits a spinning side slam for a two count. Wade punches him in the corner then kicks him in the chest and whips him to the other corner, but Cena rebounds off the ropes and hits him with a shoulder block. He follows it with a sit out slam and Five Knuckle Shuffle, then hits the Attitude Adjustment for the win.

Winner – John Cena
