Teddy Long is in the ring when Smackdown begins, and he tells the fans that Big Show and Mark Henry are both in the building, and the future of the championship will be addressed tonight. Christian comes out and says the future will be addressed now, and the match on Sunday was good, but Big Show blew his shot and Christian should fill the void. He says he is dominant and resilient, and tells Teddy to try and find someone that deserves it more than him, then they get interrupted by CM Punk. Christian says he deserves one more match, but he wants to know why Punk is even there and why he interrupted him. Teddy says RAW has enjoyed using Smackdown's stars for a while, so he arranged for them to have a Smackdown Supershow with some of the RAW stars.
Punk says he has it bad with John Laurinaitis on RAW, and Teddy is nothing compared to him, then Christian says Teddy is incompetant and Punk doesn't deserve a title shot. Punk says he might get a title shot because he doesn't waste time bitching and moaning, but Christian says he doesn't care about his invite and tells him to leave because no one wants him there. Punk mocks him and says it sounds like the fans in Houston want him here and he would even bet money they would want to see him in a match with Christian tonight. He asks Teddy if that can happen and Teddy confirms it, then Punk says 'holla, holla' and leaves while Christian screams at Teddy.
Awesome Truth vs Air Boom
Miz knees Kofi in the head and tags in Truth, but Kofi gets his knees up and tags in Bourne who helps him kick Truth. Bourne hits him with some knees and tries going up top but Truth knocks him down and Miz clotheslines him on the floor as we go to a break. When we return, Miz avoids a dropkick by Bourne and tags Truth, and they both kick Bourne in the head but Bourne knocks him down with a kick of his own. Kofi gets the hot tag and knocks Miz down and goes for a Boom Drop, but Miz moves out of the way and Kofi hits a springboard cross body instead. Bourne tries to fight off Truth but he gets thrown outside and Kofi gets beat with the Little Jimmy Finale.
