Lumberjack Match
Bobby Roode vs Sting

Sting attacks Roode and whips him into the corner, then Roode chops him a few times but Sting shakes it off and hits a few clotheslines. Sting goes for a Scorpion Death Lock but Roode crawls under the ropes, then Sting slams his head off the turnbuckles. He lays him across the ropes and kicks him in the stomach, then he knocks him outside a few times and the lumberkacks roll him in. Roode avoids a Stinger Splash and tosses him outside, then he tries to hop back in but the lumberjacks get a few shots in on him. Sting rams his shoulder into Roode's stomach then backdrops him and throws him outside but Roode is thrown back in. Roode throws Sting outside and some of the heel lumberjacks beat him up, but another group comes over and throws Sting in the ring.

Roode slams him into the corner and applies a waistlock, then Sting breaks the hold and goes for another splash but Roode gets a boot up to knock him down. Roode kicks him in the corner before throwing him outside, then Sting attempts to fight a few lumberjacks off as we go to a commercial. When we get back, Roode suplexes Sting for a near fall, then he throws Sting outside again before slamming him in the corner and chopping him. Sting psyches up and punches him back, then he hits a Stinger Splash and whips Roode into the ropes but he grabs them and rolls outside. Roode tries to hide behind some lumberjacks but Sting responds with a suicide dive, then he brings Roode back in and attempts a Scorpion Deathlock.

Roode counters with a Crossface but Sting makes it to the ropes, then kicks him a few times and attempts a fisherman's suplex. Sting floats over and hits a Scorpion Death Drop, then he puts him in the Scorpion Deathlock and gets him to tap out. Hulk Hogan comes out after the bell and says that is why Sting is the number one guy, and it's just a little piece of what they are going to get tonight. Hulk says the main event at Slammiversary is going to be Bobby Roode against Sting, and he is putting icing on the cake by having Roode put his title on the line.

Winner – Sting
