Regal Wants To Be Raw GM

WWE NXT announcer William Regal has thrown his name into the hat as the potential General Manager of Raw and Smackdown. Regal posted the following via Twitter and Tout:

"I would like to let @WWE know that I'm more than capable of being both GM of Raw and Smackdown and keeping my NXT announcing duties.#Oldpro."

"A Tout from me about becoming the new GM.@WWE # RegalforGM http://t.co/Jw8hGyLu"

"Just to let @WWE know #RegalforGM is trending on #Tout.No more part time one trick pony people in this job please.You know it makes sense."

Heyman Blasts ECW Situation

As we reported earlier in the week, WWE has allowed its trademark of the letters "ECW" to lapse, and as a result a company based out of New York has filed to trademark the name. When asked on Twitter about the situation, Paul Heyman responded with the following:

Dumbshits who think they can recapture the magic. Some people never learn! Letters don't mean anything. WWE's #ECW wasn't ECW. Any1 can buy letters. Big deal. ECW was based on ORIGINAL IDEAS! It's called "having an imagination." Obviously, trying to be a duplicate ripoff of the past is not "new" or "original" nor "game changing." #ECW was a product of its time. When I wrote @WWE #Smackdown in 2002/03, I didn't try to duplicate ECW. You move on with the times, people. #ECW One Night Stand was supposed to be a ONE NIGHT STAND. Not a way to re-marry your ex. If someone wants to take a try at re-doing #ECW, knock yourself out. Go for it. Maybe ur investment is smarter doing something NEW!!!

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
