According to the source, Sammartino is getting a high six figures for his Hall of Fame induction, and his pay is equivalent to that of a WrestleMania main eventer. No word on why Sammartino claimed he was only receiving $5,000, but it’s possible he’s trying to downplay the money end of things so it doesn’t appear as if he’s accepting the induction solely for the pay.
