Booker T Doesn’t Think Austin vs. Hart Should Get A WWE Hall Of Fame Ring

Booker T recently took issue with the concept of WWE giving out a WWE Hall of Fame ring for select matches.

During the latest episode of the Hall of Fame podcast (via 411Mania), Booker T brought up the news that WWE will begun inducting select matches (called “Immortal Moments”) into its Hall of Fame. The first match will be Steve Austin and Bret Hart’s iconic WrestleMania 13 match.

While Booker T likes the idea the commemorating things, he doesn’t like the idea of WWE matches getting the same flair as a proper Hall of Fame inductee.

“That really is not a Hall of Fame,” said Booker T. “That’s a match. You shouldn’t get a ring for that. It’s a match, you get a plaque or something. You don’t get a ring for it. Let’s get real. You get a plaque… If they do make it happen, both of those guys on stage together, actually reliving a couple minutes of that match. They ain’t gotta go in depth or anything like that too much, but just to have those guys on the stage for that moment, I think yeah.

“Those are moments that you capture and they live forever, those moments like that. So yeah, to see those two guys on stage one more time reliving that? Heck yeah, I can see that most definitely.”

What do you think? Is Booker T right? Should Austin and Hart’s match receive a Hall of Fame ring? Is something like a plaque better? Let us know in the comments below.
