Christopher Daniels Speaks on Older Wrestlers & TNA Having to Be Like WWE

TNA wrestler Christopher Daniels spoke up for older wrestlers in TNA in a recent interview with the Chicago Redeye, promoting the company's live Impact Wrestling this Thursday night. On the topic of former WWE and TNA Champion Kurt Angle, the "Fallen Angel" held him in high regard –

"You see someone like Kurt Angle, who has had immeasurable success in professional wrestling as a whole, going out there and doing his best to try and make people aware of the product—you can't help but give 110 percent in that same respect."

He also spoke on TNA as a successful company in pro wrestling, and having to be like the WWE while remaining individualized at the same time.

"The truth of the matter is sometimes it's hard to be different from the WWE when you're trying to gain those same viewers. Sometimes there's a tendency to sort of follow in the footsteps of the WWE. And so it's sort of a fine line where you want to be recognizable as professional wrestling but you also want to set yourself apart from what some people consider the standard of professional wrestling, which is the WWE."
