Ryback Takes Controversial Jab at WWE Hall of Famer; Is His Bizarre Twitter Activity a Part of a New Gimmick?

RybackWWE Superstar Ryback took a pretty controversial shot at WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler this week, responding to some comments King made on commentary this week. Jerry had said "Ryback wouldn't know which way an elevator goes if you gave him two guesses." Ryback responded with this:

"So apparently I do not know which way an elevator goes if you gave me two guesses according to Jerry Lawler. I can tell you one thing. If I was in an elevator with The Kat it would definitely be going down. Ryback Rules."

For those who don't know, Stacy "The Kat" Carter is a former WWE Diva and the ex-wife of Jerry Lawler. The two divorced in 2001, but even with Ryback responding "in character," this comment could easily be seen as crossing the line.

Interestingly, Ryback may have been trying out a new character this week on WWE Main Event, when he came down and circled the ring four times. Each time he simply walked around the ring, not making eye contact with any of the participants wrestling, and continued walking right back to the locker room. He was wearing a new jacket that said "The Big Guy", a nickname Ryback has been calling himself for the last week or so on Twitter.
