WWE Confirms Smackdown on Friday Nights

smackdown on friday nightsAs we noted earlier today, Syfy updated it programming calendar and listed Haven for Thursday nights at 8pm EST, and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena at 9pm and 10pm EST, making it impossible for Smackdown to air from 8-10pm EST.

According to F4WOnline.com, WWE has confirmed that Smackdown will indeed remain in its current time slot of Friday nights at 8pm EST.

Associated Press Says TNA “Flopped” When it Tried to Become “WWE-Lite”

The Associated Press has published a feature on Bobby Lashley and King Mo appearing at tonight’s Bellator event, and when talking about TNA the piece noted TNA “flopped” when it tried to become “WWE-Lite.” The article noted the following:

“TNA morphed into WWE-lite for a spell, believing signing castoffs like Ric FlairHulk HoganMick Foley and Kevin Nash would boost ratings and give the second-tier organization some needed credibility. It’s now at a crossroads with its TV deal in limbo and no domestic live events scheduled after Sep. 19.”
