Major Update: Backstage Creative Plans for Undertaker and Bray Wyatt Heading into WrestleMania, WWE Keeping ‘Taker Off TV?

undertaker and bray wyattAccording to PWInsider.com, the current plan in WWE is to keep The Undertaker off TV until WrestleMania 31. As of now, ‘Taker will not be appearing on Raw or Smackdown to help build to his match against Bray Wyatt heading into WrestleMania.

The idea here is to create mystery surrounding The Undertaker, with WWE fans not knowing where The Dead Man is, what he currently looks like, what condition he is in, or if he will show up at WrestleMania at all.

WWE feels this will lead to a much bigger surprise when Undertaker does in fact show up at WrestleMania 31, and Undertaker and Bray Wyatt face off in a match.

Paglino: I’m fine with this idea. Bray Wyatt is strong enough on the mic that he can keep this story line entertaining heading into WrestleMania. Plus, Undertaker typically doesn’t do much anyways when he returns to TV, aside from maybe a chokeslam or two and the obligatory pointing up at the WrestleMania sign.

It will be interesting this year to see whether or not the streak ending has an impact on the fans’ level of interest in the match. What do you think?
