The show originally supposed to take place over the weekend was rained out, then cancelled again on Monday and finally found a home for Wednesday night. However, due to scheduling conflicts former WWE Champion and current reigning AAA World Heavyweight Champion Alberto El Patron was forced off the card.
The biggest drawing factor for the show remained, however, as Rey Mysterio returned to action teaming with Myzteziz (the original Sin Cara/Mistico) in the main event.
